MEMBERS BELIEFS

Something I feel I should mention for I am sure other members have thought about this. This network is made up from many nationalities from around the world which I of course welcome. The idea of which is to make many friends amongst us and embrace each others cultures and accept each other without prejudice. We all have differing beliefs and religions and differing points of views.

I make no secret of the fact I am not a Christian, I'm a Spiritualist and amongst my members here I have Moslems, Wiccans, Pagan, Jewish, Buddists, Hindu, Aethiests, Agnostics and Christian.

The desire to worship is inherent to man its natural and depending on where we live and our upbringing, we tend to inherit our religion from our parents.

However since we have many members who have such differing beliefs do you not think we should change the word pray for positive thoughts? This then covers everyone so that no specific religion is dominant and this is then fair to everyone

We are all entitled to our own opinions and thoughts and beliefs and I wouldn't dream of pushing my beliefs on to others as I feel we have no right to foist OUR beliefs on another.

No one religion is more superior than another, there is a common thread runs through them all, in that there is an after life and we should be kind to one another and treat everyone as we ourselves wish to be treated.

My point is it is YOUR belief and folk should remember not to push their beliefs on to others. It's all about respect for each other. We are all free to say what we want on our OWN pages with the proviso it's not disrespectful to others.

I agree to a certain extent, I have always respected the beliefs of others, no matter what they are, it is their business, but on the other hand, I expect the same. I will not give up epressing my beliefs and wishes to those I know who share the same, if not they will tell me.

IF ANYONE READS THE BEGINNING OF THE DISCUSSION I AM MERELY ASKING MEMBERS BE AWARE AND SENSITIVE TO OTHERS BELIEFS NO ONE IS ASKING ANYONE TO CURB WHAT THEY SAY ON THEIR OWN PAGE. AND FOR ASKING MEMBERS TO BE TOLERANT AND SENSITIVE I AM PERSONALLY INSULTED THIS IS TOTAL IGNORANCE AND HOW WARS AND CONFLICT BEGIN, BY NOT BEING TOLERANT AND ACCEPTING OTHERS HAVE DIFFERENT BELEIFS AND THEY ARE QUITE WITHIN THEIR RIGHT TO CHOSE WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN.

ARE PERSONAL INSULTS CHRISTIAN? FOR THE IGNORANT I WAS RAISED A BAPTIST SO I DO KNOW KNOW WHAT BEING A CHRISTIAN MEANS AND ITS CERTAINLY NOT INSULTING OTHERS THAT IS INDEED HYPOCRITICAL.

I BECAME A SPIRITUALIST SOME 30 YEARS AGO WHEN MY VISIONS WERE BECOMING VERY STRONG. FOR THE IGNORANT ALSO SPIRITUALISTM HAS ITS ROOTS IN CHRISTIANITY, AS WE DO ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHINGS IN COMMON WE SING HYMNS AND PSALMS AND BELEIVE IN GOD FURTHER YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW CHRISTIANITY HAS ITS ROOTS IN A BREAK OFF JEWISH SECT.

FREE SPEECH IS ALL VERY WELL BUT NOT WHEN YOU PUSH AND FORCE YOUR BELIEFS ONTO OTHERS, THAT STARTS A DANGEROUS PRECEDENCE IT SMARTS OF DICTATORSHIP AND LACK OF CONSIDERATION TO OTHERS.

FREE SPEECH AND A FREE WORLD MEANS THAT YOU ARE FREE TO SAY AND DO WHAT YOU PLEASE BUT YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO IMPOSE YOUR BELIEFS ON ANOTHER PERSON.

AS FAR AS THIS NETWORK IS CONCERNED MEMBERS CAN SAY WHAT THEY BELEIVE IN ON THEIR PAGES BUT I DO EXPECT MEMBERS TO RESPECT OTHER MEMBERS AND NO MEMBER HAS THE RIGHT TO INSULT ANOTHER MEMBER THE RULES ARE QUITE CLEARLY PUBLISHED AT THE TOP TABS ON SITE GUIDELINES
